I am happily married to a wonderful man named Johnny Duncan. We have two wonderful children named Keith and Brittany.
I teach Media Technology at the Linden - Kildare High School. We are located in Northeast Texas. As a Media Technology Teacher my classes design Webpages using MS Frontpage2000 and my Video Editing classes produce a news program called Tiger Vision.
I also co - sponsor the Student Council. I am currently serving as the District 19 Advisor for the next 2 years. This Fall I was honored to be chosen as the District 19 Advisor of the Year. I work as a Camp Sponsor at SFA's Student Council Workshop in Nacogdoches, Tx each July.
This year I plan to assist in a Media capacity at the MDA Rainbow Summer Camp in Bethany, La.
I have a great interest in working with tomorrow's leaders and with special needs children. This year our Student Council has succeeded at hosting it's first Special Olympics. This was probably one of the greatest moments in my life...the smiles on the children's faces spoke volumes to me! Our council has also been very successful in many fundraising events. These students, along with our DECA organization, are very active in raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In the last five years our students have raised close to $15,000.00 for MDA.
Teaching students to give of their time and be volunteers is very important to me and I am very proud of the efforts given by the students of the Linden - Kildare Schools!
I also have a great love for genealogy. Searching for our ancestors and finding new "cousins" has been a great source of enjoyment for me and my family!
