Quoting a dear friend from camp..."this is seven days of heaven". Bri and her close friend ...Charlie. 
Each year the Ark - La -Tex MDA Chapter, along with the Monroe and Lafayette Chapters, hosts a week long camp for their patients, (ages 6 - 21), who suffer from neuromuscular disease. This is a week filled with fun, excitement and special friendships.

Katie was my counselor my first 2 summer's at camp. During Rainbow Camp the campers get to experience many events such as horseback riding, fishing, swimming, arts and crafts, motorcycle rides, dances, talent night, and many other fun activities. Each camper has their own counselor. On Thursday night, a very special event occurs... the camp dance and date night. Each camper invites a special counselor to be their date for the night. The "gentlemen" present their dates with beautiful bouquets of roses. It is a magical night for each camper. They are given the opportunity to dance the night away with a very special person.
