Mrs. Jane Bordelon In August of 1999 the MDA community lost a dear sweet lady. Her voice was my first connection to MDA. Jane was the Director of Patient Services for many years at the Shreveport office. My family and I first met Jane in the early '90's when we decided it was time to turn to MDA for assistance. My illness had become worse and my parents were advised to speak with MDA to see if they could help and that they did! Jane helped my mom get an appointment with Dr. Gwendolyn Hogan and this began our long journey with MDA. Throughout the years Jane became a very dear friend to our family. She was camp director for many years and developed Bethany's Rainbow Camp into a special haven for many of Jerry's kids. I feel that there is a special part of Heaven that is a "Rainbow Camp" and Jane is having the time of her life! I can not say enough wonderful things about Ms. Jane...she is a special memory that will live forever in my heart! Mr. Jim Yates I was a blessed MD patient in that I got the priviledge of getting to know the owner of the EZ Mart Corporation. During 1997 and 1998 I was honored to serve as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Ark - La - Tex. As Amabassador I was asked to assist with the MDA Golf Tournaments sponsored by the EZ Mart Corporation. These were always so much fun! I was asked to help Mr. Yates and Mr. Kirkland present awards at the Golf Banquets. They always made me feel so special! Thanks to Mr. Yates and his employees thousands of dollars have been raised for MDA by the EZ Mart Corporation. I would like to thank the Yates family for continuing to work so hard for MDA. Mr. Yates's giving spirit and memory lives on in this community. I will never forget him!!! |
